You can get accurate numerology readings by finding out what your ruling number is. Your ruling number is calculated by adding the numbers of your birth date. The numbers are added till a single digit is obtained, which becomes the numerology or ruling number. Your numerology number consists of the blueprint to your life, and the various aspects in it.
Once you get to know your future after calculating numerology, you can also have solutions or remedies to rectify your missing numbers and work on your weaknesses.

Your birthday number
Look at the date you were born to find your birthday number. If you were born on the 5th of the month, then your birthday number is 5. If you were born on the 28th (a double-digit number), then you add up the two numbers together (2 + 8 = 10) to find your birthday number. For birthday numbers, you do not have to reduce them to a single digit. Only use the date, not the month or year. This helps you find your lucky number.

Life path number
Your life path number shows the destined path that you will be walking down in this lifetime. It shows your true nature, uniqueness as a person, and the karmic debt that you have to work through. To find your life-path number, you’ll need to add the numerical month plus day plus year in which you were born.
Let’s say you were born on 27 October 1990. You would add the numbers of the day of your birth together: 2 + 7 = 9. Then you add the double-digit 10 together (the month of October). For example, 1 + 0 = 1. Finally, the year 1990: 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19. As the latter is a double number, we break it down further: 1 + 9 = 10. And again, we break that down by adding 1 + 0 to get the single number, 1.
Now, we add up all of the main numbers: 9 (birthdate) + 1 (birth month) + 1 (birth year) = 11. We deduce this number further, by adding its digits together: 1 + 1 = 2. This means that your life path number is 2.

Steps to calculate your name number in Numerology:
1. Write out the alphabet from ‘A’ to ‘Z’ in a horizontal line

2. Assign each letter a digit from 1 to 9. Start with the letter A. Write a ‘1’ next to it and once you reach ‘I’ which is a ‘9,’ start back at 1 as you continue along the alphabet.

a) Write out your full birth name to find out your true name number. Don’t forget to include your middle name if you have one as well. Nicknames won’t give a completely accurate result.

3. Match each letter in your name to its corresponding number. You will have some duplicate number for different letters, but that is not a problem.

4. Add together all of the letters’ numbers.

5. After you have added your numbers together, you will have a double or triple-digit sum, if your name is long. To reduce the sum, add together the digits within it.

6. Leave the Master Numbers as double digits. If you add up the letters in your name and you get a sum that equals either 11, 22, or 33, don’t reduce them. These are the 3 Master numbers, which can add difficulty but also depth to the personality you are discovering or the topic of numerology you are studying. These 3 numbers have their own personality explanations.

7. Once you have your name number, you can look up that number in a numerology chart to find out more about yourself.
